Career Development Specialist
Supervises clients and reports on all client job search activities in coordination with the rehabilitation plan and CRC directives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts employer engagement to obtain interview opportunities for clients, ensuring that potential jobs are a match for the client.
Follows up on client interviews via email or phone to determine if client will move forward with the process.
Responsible for oversight of administrative duties pertaining to job search and clients.
Assist with the direction and supervision of day-to-day client job search activity and accountabilities in accordance with rehabilitation plan and directives from CRC’s, DCM, and Job Development Staff.
Assists clients with preparation for specialized training such as GED, ESL Classes, PERC Card Applications, etc.
Identify job leads and create weekly itineraries for designated clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated proficiency with relevant software to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, proficient use of email and internet, knowledge of computer hardware, accurate keyboarding of a minimum of 40 words per minute, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience are desired. Bilingual Spanish strongly desired.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License and Insurance are required for this position.
OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Typical working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. Overtime may at times be a requirement for special projects.
