Where In The Country Has Vocamotive Been?

Vocamotive Nov. 7, 2016

The past two months have been very busy for Vocamotive and our staff of dedicated career development, resume writing, and vocational rehabilitation professionals. In addition to writing resumes and providing employment assistance to individuals in 13 different states, our team has been traveling near and far to provide career guidance, attend training events, administer consultations, and exhibit at professional events around the country.
Let’s take a look at some of the stops Vocamotive has taken along the way:

NRWA Annual Conference – Annapolis, MD

Vocamotive’s resume writing experts (Adam Zajac and Brittney Beck) traveled to the National Résumé Writers’ Association annual conference in Maryland in September to receive training in the most effective resume and LinkedIn profile writing techniques.

They also had a little fun networking with other resume writing professionals while sailing on Chesapeake Bay!

Assisting U.S. Military Veterans in Alaska

And from the East Coast to the opposite end of the country…Lisa Helma, one of Vocamotive’s Certified Rehabilitation Counselors, traveled by aircraft large and (very) small in order to provide her expertise and guidance to our nation’s veterans in towns throughout Alaska in September.
The Vocamotive team has always prided our commitment to supporting the VA and the career transition period for US Veterans.

Vocamotive Throughout Illinois

We’ve been covering ground in Illinois too!

ISIA Conference in Oak Brook, Illinois

Vocamotive’s owner, Joseph Belmonte, CRC, and Head Resume Writer Adam Zajac represented Vocamotive as a member of Illinois Self-Insurers’ Association during its annual conference in October. The Illinois Self-Insurers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing and promoting the interests of self-insured employers in Illinois.

2016 IARF Educational Conference & Expo in Bloomington, Illinois

The International Association of Rehabilitation Facilities annual conference took place October 18-20, 2016 in Bloomington, Ill. Lisa Helma, CRC, and Laura Belmonte speak about career and vocational services to representatives and members of the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities. Vocamotive’s expertise includes providing consultative and job placement services to the transition’s community.

The IARF was created in order to assist in the development and improvement of services, to act as a clearinghouse for information, and to develop progressive methods of effective service to persons with disabilities through study, experiment and exchange of experience.

Northern Illinois University Career and Internship Fair

Adam Zajac and Vocamotive’s newest CRC, Rebecca Hanna, talk to N.I.U. students and recent graduates about career opportunities in resume writing, vocational rehabilitation, career services, and marketing. Vocamotive has a long history of training and preparing young interns for their careers, both within Vocamotive and in the overall business world.

Rebecca Hanna, CRC, returns to her alma mater, Northern Illinois University, to recruit interns for Vocamotive’s career development and vocational rehabilitation departments.

Illinois Statewide Transition Conference

Associate Resume Writer and Career Development Specialist Brittney Beck and Lisa Helma, CRC, represent Vocamotive at the 12th Annual Illinois Statewide Transition Conference. This year’s conference for transition aged young adults with disabilities, their family members and teachers, vocational professionals, caregivers, health care professionals, college students pursuing careers in special education and community advocates was held at the Thelma Keller Hotel & Convention Center, Effingham, Illinois from October 27-28, 2016.

The Chicago Lighthouse Lunch and Learn Event

Vocamotive’s Adam Zajac attends a luncheon at The Chicago Lighthouse to exchange ideas in order to assist more individuals in joining the workforce.
